At ITS Study Abroad, our relationship with our customers is based on trust. This is also reflected in the way we handle the student’s personal information. ITS Study Abroad respects the privacy of every individual who visits the ITS web site.

The initial online application will request personal information. All fields are required, and acceptance to our program depends on this information. ITS is committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards in protecting the privacy of any personal information which is submitted.

Student Conduct and Academics

While abroad, ITS students are responsible for their actions and behavior and are subject to the laws and regulations of Romania. ITS provides students with a pre-departure package including important information and advice, and students are expected to read and understand it. Students are also expected to educate themselves on issues concerning their safety and health and Romania’s political, cultural, and religious climate. Every student must actively participate in their personal health and safety. Even though ITS provides medical insurance for the students, along with important information regarding health and safety, ITS is not responsible for guaranteeing the safety of its students, or eliminating all risks involved with the international study environment.

Additionally, ITS students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the academic policies of the “Carol Davila” University and fulfilling their responsibilities. ITS is not responsible if the students do not comply with the University’s rules, housing rules and/or country’s rules. No refund of any kind will be received if a student is dismissed from the University, housing or Romania for conduct or academic reasons.

ITS Study Abroad Refund Policies

ITS must make advanced payments to arrange program necessities such as university tuition, housing, transportation arrangements, and other program expenses which are incurred well before the program begins. Therefore, ITS will not be able to offer a full refund in case a student chooses to withdraw from the program.

The following are our refund guidelines:

Your request to withdraw from a program must be made in writing (by e-mail or mail) and submitted to ITS study abroad.

►$160 Deposit Fee is non-refundable upon submission of application, except if the application was denied.
►$500 Confirmation Fee is non-refundable upon confirmation of acceptance.
►If the student withdraws 51 or more days prior to September 17th, 2010, the student is liable for the application and the confirmation fee.
►If the student withdraws 1- 50 days prior to September 17th, 2010, the student is liable for 50% of the program fee plus the application and the confirmation fee.
►Students are not eligible for any refund if they withdraw on or after September 17th, 2010.
►If a student is dismissed from the University or he/she chooses not to continue his/her studies at the University, no refund will be given.
►If a student is removed from housing as a result of failure to conform to its regulations, no refund will be given.
►If a student chooses not to participate in an excursion provided by ITS, he/she will NOT be refunded any portion of the program fee.

ITS Program Cancellation

ITS reserves the right to cancel or amend its program. If a program is cancelled, ITS will provide all students set to participate in that program a full refund of all program cost, except the non-refundable application and confirmation fee.
